Bobclass can overlay the events from your device's own calendar on top of your Bobclass week — a dentist appointment, the school run, anything personal — so you can see a conflict before you schedule a session on top of it.
If you have set this up and your events are not appearing, work through the list below. The first three account for almost every report.
Imported events appear in . They are not drawn in day view, which is built for running the studio rather than planning it.
holds two separate features, and they work in opposite directions:
- — brings your personal events into Bobclass. This is the one you want.
- — publishes your Bobclass sessions out to another calendar app such as Apple Calendar or Google Calendar.
Setting up and expecting your personal events to appear in Bobclass is an easy mistake to make. Go back and turn on the import instead.
The import is . Each device reads its own local calendar, so connecting on your iPad does nothing on your iPhone or your Mac — you have to set it up separately on each one.
If your events were there yesterday and are not today, check whether you are on a different device.
Your device asks for permission the first time Bobclass tries to read your calendar. If you declined then — or declined on an earlier version of the app — nothing will import until you allow it.
- — and switch Bobclass on
- —
- — (the exact wording varies by manufacturer)
Bobclass reads what your device's own calendar app holds. If an account is not enabled on the device itself — a work Google calendar, an Outlook account — its events are invisible to Bobclass too.
Open your device's calendar app and confirm the event is there. If it is not, enable that account in your device's calendar settings first, then check Bobclass again.
In week view, the settings (cog) icon controls a slider. An event at 6:30 in the morning or 10 at night falls outside that window and is not drawn, even though it has imported correctly. Widen the slider and look again.
Imported events are a read-only overlay. They are there so you can see your own commitments while you schedule. They do :
- block that time from being booked by a client
- remove the slot from an instructor's availability
- get edited, moved or deleted from inside Bobclass
To make time genuinely unavailable, block the day or adjust the instructor's working hours instead — see Blocking a day (Day off) .
