A walk-in — or drop-in — is a client who turns up at the studio without a prior booking. Adding them, marking their attendance and checking them out all happen in one flow, so you can deal with someone at the door without leaving the screen you are on.

Search for the client by name, or create a new client profile if they are not in your system yet.
Select the session they are joining.
Complete the checkout step.
Walk-ins can be existing clients or brand new ones. Creating the profile here is enough — you do not need to add them in first.
This is the normal case for a walk-in, and it is not a problem. The checkout step offers the same options as any other checkout:
- — sell them a Class Pack or Membership on the spot
- — a first class on the house, or a trial
- — if they are with a friend or partner who has one
- — deal with it later
If you leave the tablet unattended at the entrance, clients can add themselves as a walk-in without you touching it.
That is convenient on a busy door, but it is worth deciding deliberately: it means anyone who walks in can put themselves into a class. If you would rather keep control of who joins, keep the tablet on the Self check-in list, where clients can only check in against a session they are already booked into.
