Push notifications

Push notifications

Push notifications are alerts sent directly to the app — separate from the email, SMS and WhatsApp messages covered in  Message templates . They aren't composed or switched off per template: either an event triggers one or it doesn't, and they only reach someone who has the relevant app installed and is signed in.

To clients (Bobclass Go)

A signed-in client gets a push notification when:
  • Their booking is confirmed
  • Their session is rescheduled
  • Their session is cancelled — whether they cancelled it themselves or you did
  • A payment is received for a bank-transfer purchase they made — see  Marking a bank transfer as paid
This only reaches signed-in clients. A guest who booked with just an email address has no app session to push to.

To you (Studio Manager)

You get a push notification when:
  • A booking request lands in your Inbox — see  Approving and declining requests
  • A spot opens up in a full class that has clients on the waitlist — see  Waitlist management
Ordinary activity that doesn't need your attention — a booking that goes straight onto the calendar because Requires approval is off, or an ordinary cancellation with nobody waiting for the spot — does not push to you. It's logged quietly in your  Inbox  Timeline instead, so nothing is lost but your day isn't interrupted for things that don't need action.
