Four things decide whether a client can book a given time: the instructor's availability, your booking rules, any buffers on the appointment, and whether the day is blocked. If slots are missing from your booking page, the answer is in one of them.
1. Instructor availability
Availability is set per instructor, not for the studio as a whole. A client can only book a time when the instructor who would teach it is available.
Go to Settings → Studio → Instructors, select an instructor, and open Availability. For each one you set:
which days of the week they work
a start and end time for each day
any breaks within the day
Every new instructor starts on Monday to Saturday, 07:00 to 20:00. That is a placeholder, not a recommendation — set it to what is actually true before you share your booking page, or clients will be offered times when nobody is there.
2. Booking rules
Settings → Online booking → Booking rules holds four settings that apply across your whole studio.
Segments for appointments — how often an appointment slot can start: every 60, 30 or 15 minutes. An instructor available from 09:00 to 12:00 on 30-minute segments offers 09:00, 09:30, 10:00 and so on; switch to 60 minutes and the same window offers only 09:00, 10:00 and 11:00.
Lead time — how much notice you need. Set to 0 hours, clients can book right up to the start time. Set it to 12 hours and a class this evening closes to new bookings this morning. Use it if you need to know numbers in advance, or to stop someone booking a 7am class at 6:55.
Booking horizon — how far ahead your schedule is open. At 7 weeks, clients can book anything up to seven weeks from today, and no further. The screen shows you the actual date that works out to, which is worth glancing at.
In Bobclass Go the horizon is simply where the date strip stops: clients scroll forward and run out of dates at the end of it. They do not see an empty schedule — they cannot get that far. So a client asking about a date beyond your horizon will say they cannot find it, not that there is nothing on it.
Cancellation window — how far in advance a client must cancel. At 24 hours, a class on Thursday at 18:00 can be cancelled until 18:00 on Wednesday. After that only you can remove them. See Cancellation policies.
3. Buffers on the appointment
An appointment can carry blocked time before it, after it, or both, so nothing can be booked hard up against it.
Set it per appointment in Settings → Studio → Appointments, select the appointment, and use Buffer before and Buffer after. Both start at No buffer.
This is the changeover: a few minutes for the instructor to catch their breath, or to wipe down a Reformer before the next client is on it. Online, a client cannot book a slot that would run into the buffer, so back-to-back bookings stop happening without you policing the calendar.
Buffers come out of your bookable day. A 15-minute buffer on each side of a one-hour appointment takes 90 minutes of availability per booking, not 60. Worth checking the arithmetic against how many sessions you actually want to fit in.
Seeing all this on your calendar
Time that is not bookable — outside availability, in a break, or inside a buffer — is hatched out in grey on the calendar.
If you have more than one instructor, the calendar shows all of them at once and no hatching appears, because there is no single answer to who is available. Use the instructor selector in the top right to pick one. See Calendar views.
A client cannot book when they want to
Two different complaints, with different causes.
"I cannot get to that date." They have reached the end of your Booking horizon — the date strip stops there. Increase the horizon if you want to open the schedule further ahead.
"There are no times available on that day." Work through these in order:
Is the instructor available then? Check their Availability — the day may be off, or the time outside their hours.
Is it a break? Breaks sit inside a working day and are not bookable.
Is it too soon? Check your Lead time . A session inside that window is already closed to new bookings.
Are buffers eating the gaps? Generous buffers on a busy day leave less room than you would expect.
Is the day blocked? A day off, for that instructor or for the whole studio, removes it. See Blocking a day (Day off) .
Is the instructor set up to teach that activity? Instructors are assigned to what they can teach in Settings → Studio → Group classes and Appointments .
Are segments too coarse? A 60-minute segment on a short window gives very few slots.
Is booking switched on at all? Check Enable booking and the Appointments tab in Settings → Online booking . See How clients book .
