Stripe is a third-party payment platform that Bobclass uses to process online card payments.
Connecting Stripe gives you two things:
Clients can buy Class Packs, Memberships and shop products from the Store tab in Bobclass Go.
You can send a client a payment link for a sale you have recorded yourself, so they can pay from their phone rather than in the studio.
Clients can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — so for most people it is a single tap, with no card details to type.
Security and fees
Stripe is a trusted global payment processor. Transactions are protected with PCI Level 1 encryption, and your clients' card details never touch Bobclass servers.
Bobclass does not charge any additional fees for online payments — it simply connects to your Stripe account and passes transactions through. Stripe charges their own processing fees, which vary by country and payment method. Consult stripe.com for current pricing.
Connecting Stripe
Go to Settings → Payments → Online card payments and follow the steps to link your existing Stripe account. You will need your business details and bank account information to hand.
Once connected, any product set to Public will appear on the Store tab of your online booking page and be available for clients to purchase.
Stripe is optional
You do not have to use Stripe to sell online. Filling in Settings → Payments → Invoice & bank transfer details also brings up the Store tab, with clients paying you by bank transfer instead. You can offer both, or neither.
The practical difference is who confirms the payment:
Stripe takes the money and records the sale as paid automatically. Stripe's fees apply.
Bank transfer costs you nothing in fees, but the client confirms their own transfer and the sale is created as Unpaid until you mark it Paid .
