Invoices and receipts

Invoices and receipts

Bobclass can produce PDF invoices and receipts for your clients. Neither is created automatically — you issue one when you want one. An invoice is simply one of the ways you can ask a client to pay.

The three ways to collect on a sale

When you record a sale yourself from the client's profile, you choose how to get paid:
  • Register the payment straight away — for cash, or a transfer that has already arrived. The sale is marked Paid there and then.
  • Send a payment link — the client pays by card from their phone. This runs through Stripe, so it needs Stripe connected and Stripe's fees apply. See  About Stripe  .
  • Create and send an invoice — a PDF request for payment showing your bank details. No commission, and no Stripe involved.
Sales a client makes themselves from the Store tab in Bobclass Go are handled at checkout instead — see  How clients purchase .

Invoices

An invoice is a request for payment, produced as a PDF you can send on to the client.
It suits corporate clients, anyone who needs a document for their own bookkeeping, and studios that bill monthly rather than taking payment session by session.
Invoices are entirely independent of Stripe. There is nothing to connect and no commission is taken — many studios pay a separate subscription to a third-party tool for exactly this.

The details printed on it

The bank and company details that appear on an invoice come from Settings → Payments → Invoice & bank transfer details. Fill that in before you issue your first one.
It is the same screen that supplies the transfer details a client sees when they pay by bank transfer in Bobclass Go, so if you have already set that up, your invoices are ready to go. See  Payments .

Receipts

A receipt confirms money you have already received. It produces the same kind of PDF, and it is equally optional — create one when a client asks for it, or when your own bookkeeping needs it.
There is one rule: a receipt can only be created once the sale is marked Paid. If the option is not available, check the status of the sale — a bank transfer that a client has declared but you have not yet confirmed is still Unpaid. Mark it Paid first, then create the receipt.

Where to find them

Once issued, invoices and receipts appear in two places:
  • In the client's profile , under Billing → Invoices and Billing → Receipts — everything issued to that one client.
  • In Overview , under Invoices and Receipts — everything across all your clients. See  The Overview tab  .
