Migrating away from Bobclass

Migrating away from Bobclass

If you decide Bobclass is not the right fit, your data comes with you. There is no lock-in and nothing to pay to get it out.
There are two ways to take it, and they suit different purposes.

CSV exports, for spreadsheets and other tools

From inside the app you can export your client list, past and upcoming bookings, sales and payments, each as a .csv file. These open in any spreadsheet application and import into most accounting and marketing tools.
This is the quicker route, and for many studios it is enough. Full steps are in  Exporting data .

A full JSON export, for moving to another platform

If you are moving to another system and want everything, we can produce a complete export of your studio database as a JSON file. It is machine-readable, so it is the right format to hand to another platform's import process or to whoever is doing the migration for you.
This one is not available in the app. Email  support@bobclass.com  and ask for it, and we will send it to you — free of charge.
Give us a little notice rather than asking on the day you need it.

Before you go

Work through these in order.
Export what you need. Take your CSVs, and request the JSON file if you want the full database.
Settle anything outstanding. Check Overview → Sales with the filter Status = Unpaid for bank transfers you have not yet confirmed. See  Payments  .
Tell your clients where to book instead. Anyone using Bobclass Go or your booking page link needs somewhere else to go.
Turn off your booking page. In Settings → Online booking , disable the booking and store tabs. Until you do, clients can still book with you.
Cancel your subscription. Managed through the App Store or Google Play, not inside Bobclass — see  Subscription plans  .
Delete your account, if you want to. See  Account deletion  .
Step 4 is the one people miss. Cancelling your subscription does not stop clients booking. You are moved to the free Starter plan, and your booking page stays live — so bookings can keep arriving for a studio nobody is running. Disable the tabs in Settings → Online booking before you stop paying attention.
Deleting your account is permanent. Everything goes — clients, bookings, sales, payments. Make sure your exports are safely downloaded before you take that step, not after.

You do not have to delete anything

Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are two different things.
If you stop paying, you are automatically moved to Starter, the free plan. You keep your data and you can keep using Bobclass, within Starter's booking limit. Nothing is destroyed, and you can upgrade again whenever you like. If there is any chance you will come back, this is the gentler option.

One favour

If something drove you away, we would like to know. A line to  support@bobclass.com  genuinely shapes what we build next, and there is no sales pitch waiting at the other end.
