Time zone and Travel mode

Time zone and Travel mode

Your studio runs on a single time zone. It is set automatically when you create your account, based on your locale, and everything follows it — your calendar, the times clients see on your booking page, and when reminders go out.
Check or change it in Settings → Studio → Time zone.

When to check it

It is worth a look before you schedule your first sessions. Two situations call for changing it:
  • The automatic setting picked the wrong zone at sign-up.
  • You have moved the studio to a different time zone.
Because everything is anchored to this setting, getting it right early saves untangling sessions later.

Travel mode

Travel mode is a switch on the same screen, and it exists for one situation: you are away from home, in a different time zone, and you want to see your schedule in the local time where you are.
Turn it on and Bobclass shows your schedule in your destination's local time rather than your studio's. A class that starts at 09:00 at the studio appears at the equivalent local time on your screen, so you are not doing the arithmetic in your head while checking what is coming up.
Turn it off again when you get home.

What Travel mode does not change

Travel mode affects what you see, on the device you switch it on. Nothing else moves:
  • Your sessions stay exactly where they are — nothing is rescheduled.
  • Your studio's time zone is unchanged.
  • Your clients see your normal studio times on the booking page and in Bobclass Go.
  • Reminders go out as they always would.
Like your calendar display settings and your messaging channel, it is a per-device setting. Switching it on while travelling with your phone does not affect the iPad back at the studio.
